Amitabh Bachchan turns of 69 : Bollywood Legend

First of all Mr. Amitabh Bachchan,

Many Happy Returns of the Day. Here is wishing you a Awesome

Star of the millennium...Amitabh Bachchan has been given many epithets in his four-decade long career in Bollywood. And the actor, who turns 69 Tuesday, is now trying to harness the online medium to reach out to the very people who showered these accolades on him - his fans.

He today wrote on his blog at http://bigb.bigadda.com

I was born today ! 11th of October 1942 in Allahabad in a small private maternity outfit run by a missionary Dr Brar, in the most crowded market area of the city, Katra. I was brought home by my parents in the best possible transport machinery that they could afford – a tonga ! Wrapped in a ‘gudari’ I still refer to many that I am a ‘gudari ka lal’ – a human that is affiliated with the cheapest form of clothing. I loved being in that form and still love it. I have noticed on many occasions that the life and the style of those that live in such conditions, is closest to me in temperament. There is a certain sense of attachment every time I come in close contact with people and circumstances that narrate to me stories of the time. That is my most alluring possession. The complete ease that I feel and identify with when in the company of those that inhabit those lands.

As I step into the 70′s unabashedly, I need to thank several of those that I feel were the ones that seemed distressed with the number of my age. But no they are not so ! When they speak of age and involvement, why must we only look upon the aged, onto those that show the ravishes of time and the hunger of recognition. I would imagine that we must let the world be as it is and allow whatever shape it desires to take vis a vis individuals.

I have only just returned from KBC and it has been a grueling day, apart of course from the fact that tonight there were several from the blog that adorned the front rows of the audience, and what a pleasure it was to be in their company. The zip and the zane went up several notches higher knowing that they were there and there in support.

I has spoken about my experience on the Tv about the serial I saw and the artists of which I admired. The serial was ‘Bade Achche Lagte Ho’ and the artists were Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar. Original, relaxed meaningful and competent. Last night they were down on the set of KBC and playing for a charity that was going to help the poor of cancer, and to be able to build a center for paraplegics. Such warmth and such a delight to be in their company. Natural, relaxed and without a glimmer of their star status, they seemed to have impressed all in their assessment of me.

I must to bed now. I have a busy day tomorrow … and the morrow and the morrow and the morrow !!

Love to all

Amitabh Bachchan

"Thank you all once again for all the Birthday wishes ... I am so humbled and filled with pride .. you make it all happen .. my love"

His quotes to other sites are :

I have never really been confident about my career at any stage.

Everyone must accept "that we will age and age is not always flattering".

His thoughts on working in Hollywood: "You don't see Indians in Hollywood films around which a story can revolve. As soon as we have a social presence in your society, I am sure there will be many actors from our part of the world that will be acting in Hollywood films. I have always been a great admirer of Marlon Brando, Al Paccinno, Robert De Niro. I would love to walk into the frame, hold their briefcase!"

I wish I had time to learn all the languages of our country, I wish I knew how to play a musical instrument. There are many things that I feel I have missed out on.

Do not let your life go so easily

It's 00:10 of 18th July.. I am just watching news..
STAR News flashing breaking news. It's family drown in a river.. it is in PatalNagar at Indore.. another flash is another disaster happen today is Bus fall in river at AshokNagar (M.P.)..
AAJTAK flashing the same..
after 9 minutes.. video comes out.. AAJTAK showing little maturity that they are showing water flow and family standing in the center of fall.. wave comes.. videos paused with red warning [can not show after this ] but STAR showing video without any editing..

Family is standing in center of river nearer to water fall.. they went in center to take nice pic.. water flow increase and force of a strong wave make camera to take last pic of them.. a young girl died and two are missing.. other two are saved but injured..
Second news almost same.. bus driver shows courage to run bus and it fell into river.. all passengers are still
missing.

This is not one day news.. manier times we see people loosing their lives in crossing the signal or fall from height or due to high speed or drowning etc..

What was the main reason to go inside water whose force you don't know.. just for a good click?? you can click it in photoshop.. you are not trained how to save yourself when you be in such situation then why should you take such a risk which may take you to end your life.. totally useless..

Your office time 10 o'clock.. leaving from home at 9:50 and run your bike over 80.. what's worth in it? just a small stone can lead you to your death.. 10 kms road to office from home won't take more than 15 minutes.
if you go at average 40 km/hr it will take 15 minutes.. if you go with 60 km/hr it will be 10 minutes.. just for 5 minutes you taking potential risk everyday.. and everyday you won't get luck with you.. it's just one day game and you will be out of this world.

You are one km away from traffic signal. it's green.. you accelerate your speed try your best to cross the signal even if it's yellow or sometimes red.. if it turns from green to yellow you should think to stop if you are little far.. again it's 3 minutes stop.. so 3 minutes are not more important than life.

Railway crossing gate has the same situation.. even if it's closed people use to cross themselves as well as their bikes/cycles from side.. even if train is far but visible, then too people use to cross the railway crossing gate.. if railway wants us to cross gates in such a manner why should railway ministry spend millions of rupee behind railway crossing gates and manpower..

Life is not so easy that you allowing death to take your life away.. today all are so busy that no one getting time to think atleast little cares in routine life. I was just reading sites related to public awareness. all says..
"समय मूल्यवान है किन्तु जीवन उससे अधिक!"
"TIME IS IMPORTANT BUT NOT MORE THAN YOUR LIFE"

Please do take care of yourself and your dear ones.. Just think once before taking any action in your life..
May God Bless you all..

As I grow up

As I grow up..

There will be many moments that I will disappoint a lot of people but I know that, I can’t always please everyone! So I will accept it!

I will see some people go away… But I can’t hold on to everyone forever! And I definitely can’t hold onto someone who doesn't want to stay, So I won’t feel guilty about letting go.

I will laugh and I will know I must have done something right, So I will enjoy it.

I will get frustrated, but I know that, I can’t always control everything, so I will go along with the flow.

I will fail, but I know that it’s not the end of the world, so I will gulp it down!

I will learn that, I can’t always trust everyone, but I know that, I can always trust myself.

I will repeat some of the same stupid mistakes I have done over the years, and I will learn that I still haven’t learned the lesson… But I will know that, it’s my weakness.

The moment I saw you cry

The moment I saw you cry
My world came crashing down
To see those tears fall from your eyes
Turned my smile into a frown
I wanted to hold you
Make everything all right
But there was nothing I could do
To stop you from crying tonight
I felt like a failure
To myself and to you
But you said that was nothing
That I could do
I held you close
And made your pain my own
I tried to make it feel
Like you were home
You kissed me softly
Said you would be all right
But there was something in your eyes
That had me worried that night
And to this day I promise
Not to let you cry alone
And to take the pain you feel
And make it my own

Faith

Story told by a man which is most frightening yet thought-provoking experiences of his life.

He had been on a long flight. The first warning of the approaching problems came when the sign on the airplane flashed on: "Fasten your seat belts."

Then, after a while, a calm voice said, "We shall not be serving the beverages at this time as we are expecting a little turbulence. Please be sure your seat belt is fastened."

As he looked around the aircraft, it became obvious that many of the passengers were becoming apprehensive. Later, the voice of the announcer said, "We are so sorry that we are unable to serve the meal at this time. The turbulence is still ahead of us."
And then the storm broke. The ominous cracks of thunder could be heard even above the roar of the engines. Lightening lit up the darkening skies and within moments that great plane was like a cork tossed around on a celestial ocean. One moment the airplane was lifted on terrific currents of air; the next, it dropped as if it were about to crash.

The man confessed that he shared the discomfort and fear of those around him. He said, "As I looked around the plane, I could see that nearly all the passengers were upset and alarmed. Some were praying.

The future seemed ominous and many were wondering if they would make it through the storm. And then, I suddenly saw a girl to whom the storm meant nothing. She had tucked her feet beneath her as she sat on her seat and was reading a book.

Everything within her small world was calm and orderly. Sometimes she closed her eyes, then she would read again; then she would straighten her legs, but worry and fear were not in her world. When the plane was being buffeted by the terrible storm, when it lurched this way and that, as it rose and fell with frightening severity, when all the adults were scared half to death, that marvelous child was completely composed and unafraid."

The man could hardly believe his eyes. It was not surprising therefore, that when the plane finally reached its destination and all the passengers were hurrying to disembark, he lingered to speak to the girl whom he had watched for such a long time.

Having commented about the storm and behavior of the plane, he asked why she had not been afraid.

The sweet child replied,

"Sir, my Dad is the pilot and he is taking me home."

When you are sure of your self, your confident level is steady and you are never shaky you do the things calmly and successfully.

Each problem has a solution Just attempt it..

Many years ago in a small Indian village,a farmer had the misfortune of owing a large sum of money to a village moneylender. The moneylender, who was old and ugly, fancied the farmer’s beautiful daughter. So he proposed a bargain.
He said he would forgo the farmer’s debt if he could marry his daughter. Both the farmer and his daughter were horrified by the proposal. So the cunning money-lender suggested that they let providence decide the matter.
He told them that he would put a black pebble and a white pebble into an empty money bag. Then the girl would have to pick one pebble from the bag.
  1. If she picked the black pebble, she would become his wife and her father’s debt would be forgiven.
  2. If she picked the white pebble she need not marry him and her father’s debt would still be forgiven.
  3. But if she refused to pick a pebble, her father would be thrown into jail.
They were standing on a pebble strewn path in the farmer’s field. As they talked, the moneylender bent over to pick up two pebbles. As he picked them up, the sharp-eyed girl noticed that he had picked up two black pebbles and put them into the bag.He then asked the girl to pick a pebble from the bag.

Now, imagine that you were standing in the field.
What would you have done if you were the girl?
If you had to advise her, what would you have told her?

Careful analysis would produce three possibilities:
  1. The girl should refuse to take a pebble.
  2. The girl should show that there were two black pebbles in the bag and expose the money-lender as a cheat.
  3. The girl should pick a black pebble and sacrifice herself in order to save her father from his debt and imprisonment.
What would you recommend to the girl to do?

Well, here is what she did…

The girl put her hand into the moneybag and drew out a pebble. Without looking at it, she fumbled and let it fall onto the pebble-strewn path where it immediately became lost among all the other pebbles.
“Oh, how clumsy of me,” she said. “But never mind, if you look into the bag for the one that is left, you will be able to tell which pebble I picked.”
Since the remaining pebble is black, it must be assumed that she had picked the white one.
And since the money-lender dared not admit his dishonesty, the girl changed what seemed an impossible situation into an extremely advantageous one!

Conclusion of the Story
Most complex problems do have a solution. It is only that we don’t attempt to think.
When the mind is alert, sharp and calm while facing any problem, there definitely would crop a good solution to it whereas if the mind is too agitated, depressed and fidgety, the brain loses its ability of positive “thinking” and everything seems blank and bleak with no solution that the mind forces a person to take drastic and negative measures like commit suicide or a crime as an immediate solution.

Albert Einstein's birthday who is now a well known immortal figure for his work and his contribution to every aspect of the society, got the fame and name only in the later half of his life. His experiments and new discoveries had always been a topic to debate.

Albert Einstein was born on March 14th 1879 to a Jewish couple Hermann and Pauline Einstein. He reportedly had learned to speak at a late age, he was a slow learner, with no special aptitude. Blast at Japan nuke plant; 10,000 missing after quake

An explosion at a Japanese nuclear plant triggered fears of a meltdown after a massive earthquake and tsunami left more than 1,000 dead and at least 10,000 unaccounted for.

As workers doused the stricken reactor with sea water to try to avert catastrophe, the plant operator on Sunday said another reactor at the quake-hit facility was in trouble after its cooling system also failed.

Friday's 8.9 magnitude quake, one of the biggest ever recorded, unleashed a terrifying tsunami that engulfed towns and cities on Japan's northeastern coast, destroying everything in its path in what Prime Minister Naoto Kan said was an "unprecedented national disaster".

In the small port town of Minamisanriku alone, some 10,000 people are unaccounted for -- more than half the population -- public broadcaster NHK reported.

Even as Japan struggled to assess the full extent of the devastation, the nation faced a growing atomic emergency as cooling systems damaged by the quake failed at two nuclear plants and residents in the area were ordered to evacuate.

Smoke billowed from the Fukushima No. 1 atomic plant about 250 kilometres (160 miles) northeast of Tokyo, after an explosion Saturday blew off the roof and walls of the structure around one of its reactors.

Radiation leaked from the plant, but the government moved to calm fears of a meltdown, saying that the blast did not rupture the container surrounding the reactor and that radiation levels had fallen afterwards.

Japan reports emergency at second nuclear reactor.. Cooling system at 2nd reactor at Fukushima Power Station fails..

Japan's nuclear safety agency is reporting an emergency at a second reactor in the same complex where an explosion had occurred earlier.

The Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency said early Sunday that the cooling system malfunctioned at Unit 3 of the Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear plant. The agency said it was informed of the emergency by Tokyo Electric, the utility which runs the plant.

No further details of the troubles at Unit 3 were immediately available.

An explosion occurred at another reactor in the complex on Saturday, destroying the building housing the reactor and handing authorities an urgent complication amid rescue and relief efforts a day after Friday's earthquake and tsunami devastated Japan's northeastern coast.

"They are working on relieving pressure and pumping in water into the No. 3 reactor," Chief Cabinet Secretary Yukio Edano told a news briefing.

"This will result in some radiation leakage, although at a level that won't affect peoples' health. It will help stabilise the situation." He also said radiation from the No. 1 reactor was "low enough not to affect people's health".

Officials ordered the evacuation of a 20-km (12-mile) radius zone around the plant and 10 km (6 miles) around another nuclear facility close by.

News from the world..

The LA Times reports:

The earthquake-triggered tsunami that thrashed California's coast Friday morning, killing one person, caused at least $50 million in damage, experts said Saturday.

Lori Dengler, a geology professor and director of the Humboldt Earthquake Education Center at Humboldt State, said the damage estimates were preliminary — and were likely to rise.

CNN reports:

Japanese authorities are operating on the presumption that possible meltdowns are under way at two nuclear reactors, a government official said Sunday, adding that there have been no indications yet of hazardous emissions of radioactive material into the atmosphere.

According to CNN, Japan's chief cabinet secretary Yukio Edano said:

"We do believe that there is a possibility that meltdown has occurred. It is inside the reactor. We can't see. However, we are assuming that a meltdown has occurred," he said of the No. 1 reactor at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear facility. "And with reactor No. 3, we are also assuming that the possibility of a meltdown as we carry out measures."

General Guideliness about earthquake

Preparedness

Every household should keep a survival kit with a flashlight, a radio, a first aid kit and enough food and water to last for a few days. Avoid placing heavy objects in places where they could easily fall during an earthquake and cause injury or block exits. Have a fire extinguisher. Familiarize yourself with the designated evacuation area in your neighborhood.

During and after an earthquake

Falling objects, toppling furniture and panic present the greatest dangers during an earthquake. Try to protect yourself under a table or doorway. Do not run outside, and try to remain as calm as possible. If you are in the streets, try to find protection from glass and other objects that may fall from surrounding buildings.

After a strong earthquake, turn off ovens, stoves and the main gas valve. Then listen to the radio or television for news. In coastal areas beware of possible tidal waves (tsunami) while in mountainous areas beware of possible land slides.

Few Things before doing Earthquake Charity

Who to give to

Patrick Rooney, executive director of the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University, recommends giving to reputable aid organizations, like the Red Cross and Save the Children, because those organizations already have a presence in the impacted area and their response will likely be faster and more efficient than other organizations that are not on the ground.
"They have the experience and infrastructure necessary to provide help," he said.
The Japanese Red Cross has already deployed 900 rescue workers to the affected region today and the American Red Cross has emergency responders on standby, Koppel added.

What to give

"Give money, not food, water and clothes," Rooney advised. "There's a much higher shipping cost for supplies and it's easier for disaster organizations to get cash and use it as they need to."
In addition, it can be difficult to determine what supplies will be most needed, particularly in the early stages of a recovery effort, and in the case of Japan, there are many supplies already on hand.
Currently, a Red Cross warehouse in Malaysia is fully stocked with enough relief supplies to aid 5,000 families, according to Koppel.

What to avoid

Unfortunately, an influx of websites that are not legitimate often crop up in the wake of natural disasters, soliciting for charitable donations to aid victims.
"I guarantee websites pop up in the next 24 hours that are likely to be fraudulent," Rooney said.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation advises donors not to respond to any unsolicited incoming emails, but rather go directly to recognized charities and aid organization's websites, as opposed to following a link to another site.
Before donating, also verify the legitimacy of the nonprofit organizations as well as its nonprofit status.
And be leery of emails claiming to show pictures of the disaster areas in attached files, because those files can contain viruses, the FBI cautioned.
Charity solicitations that seem suspicious can be reported to the National Center for Disaster Fraud; complaints can also be filed with the Internet Crime Complaint Center.

Department Of Telecom (DOT) banned Mobango.com

The old and famous mobile sharing site Mobango.com is blocked by DOT (Department of Telecom). Today when I open that site it is showing home page that DOT has banned this site.. also in.mobango or pk.mobango banned too..

When you try to open the site you will get following page via any of ISP in India.. I had tried with BSNL, Airtel and Reliance..

I am wondering why this only site is blocked.. though India's biggest Internet service provider BSNL had already banned this site before almost a year.. when you try to access using BSNL net that URL wasn't resolved.. to access that site I was using opendns.. but unfortunately this site is now no longer available for India..

There is no reason or clue we have why was this site banned. I was member of that site but yet not get any mail from site admin too about this issue..

Solved XP Error : Unmountable_Boot_Volume Blue Screen Of Death

Today one of my network system stopped working and stopped at BSOD with error Unmountable_Boot_Volume..

I googled and found it is because either your hard disk cable is not connected properly or your boot.ini file is on a bad sector which is not readable.. you have to recreate boot.ini on another sector.. to do that I found following

Advanced troubleshooting
These methods are intended for advanced computer users. If you are not comfortable with advanced troubleshooting, you might want to ask someone for help, use the Microsoft Customer Support Services Web site to find other solutions, or contact Support. See the "Next steps" section for more information about the Microsoft Customer Support Services Web site.

Begin by reading the "Technical information about the error" section to understand why the error might be generated and the purpose of the message. Otherwise, you can skip this information and begin with "Method 1: Check the error message" to help you resolve the issue.
Technical information about the error
This section provides some technical background about the cause of this error message and why it might be generated.

This behavior can occur if either of the following conditions is true:

    * Your computer uses an Ultra Direct Memory Access (UDMA) hard disk controller, and the following conditions are true:
o You use a standard 40-wire connector cable to connect the UDMA drive to the controller instead of the required 80-wire, 40-pin cable.
o The basic input/output system (BIOS) settings are configured to force the faster UDMA modes.
    * The file system is damaged and cannot be mounted.

The purpose of this error message is to prevent the following two things:

    * Potential data loss caused by using an incorrect IDE cable for the faster UDMA modes. An IDE cable is a kind of cable used to connect storage devices, such as hard disks, inside a computer.
    * Continued access to a drive on which the file system is damaged

Method 1: Repair the volume
Note the second parameter (0xbbbbbbbb) in the error message. You might have to regenerate the error in order to write it down.

If the second parameter (0xbbbbbbbb) of the Stop error is 0xC0000032, the cause of the error is that the file system is damaged. You can try to repair the volume to see whether this resolves the error. If the second parameter is not 0xC0000032, see "Method 2: Check the IDE cable and load Fail-Safe settings" for help.
Some things that you should know before you try this solution

    * If the file system is damaged, you can use chkdsk /r command to repair the volume. However, if you use the chkdsk /r command, you may lose some data.
    * You will need the Windows startup disks or the Windows installation disk. If you do not have them, contact the computer manufacturer for help in obtaining the disks.
    * You will need the administrator password to complete the steps.

To repair the volume, follow these steps:

   1. Start your computer by inserting the Windows startup disks or the Windows installation disk if your computer can start from the CD drive.
   2. When the Welcome to Setup screen appears, press R to select the repair option.
   3. If you have a dual-boot or multiple-boot computer, select the Windows installation that you want to access from the Recovery Console.
   4. Type the administrator password when you are prompted to do this.

Note If no administrator password exists, press ENTER.
   5. At the command prompt, on the drive where Windows is installed, type chkdsk /r, and then press ENTER.
   6. At the command prompt, type exit, and then press ENTER to restart your computer.
   7. After you repair the volume, check your hardware to isolate the cause of the file system damage.

If this procedure does not work, repeat it, but type fixboot instead of chkdsk /r in step 5.

If you are still unable to resolve the issue, please see the "Next steps" section for help.
Method 2: Check the IDE cable and load Fail-Safe settings
If your computer uses a UDMA hard disk controller, try these steps. If your computer does not use a UDMA hard disk controller, see the "Next steps" section for help.

    * If your UDMA hard disk is connected to the controller with a 40-wire UDMA cable, replace the cable with an 80-wire cable.
    * In the BIOS settings for your computer, load the 'Fail-Safe' default settings, and then reactivate the most frequently used options, such as USB Support.

If you are not sure how to follow these steps, contact the manufacturer or refer to the user’s guide that was included with your hardware.

If it be the connector cable problem then replace the 40-wire cable with an 80-wire UDMA cable.
If it's a BIOS settings problem then  load the 'Fail-Safe' default settings, and then reactivate the most frequently used options such as USB Support.

Above one was with hardware stuff.. I solved it with following method.. Which really worked..

1.Insert the Windows XP CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive, and then restart the computer.

Click to select any options that are required to start the computer from the CD-ROM drive if you are prompted.

2.When the "Welcome to Setup" screen appears, press R to start the Recovery Console.

3.If you have a dual-boot or multiple-boot computer, select the installation that you must access from the Recovery Console.

4.When you are prompted, type the Administrator password. If the administrator password is blank, just press ENTER.

5.At the command prompt, type CHKDSK /R , and then press ENTER.(it may run faster till 10% - 30%  but don't shutdown if it's slowly that 1% increment take 10 minutes. it will happen if your disk has too much data.. just let DOS do it's work..)

6. Once that is done, type FIXBOOT at the C:\ prompt. When you see the "Are you sure you want to write a new boot sector?" prompt, press Enter.

7. Type Exit at the C:\ prompt. If the drive has been flagged as dirty, a surface scan may be initiated upon reboot. The computer will reboot into Windows. Remember to change the boot order back to the hard drive.

This takes a bit longer, but the system should boot back into Windows.

Resolved Issue : Port 80 used by Microsoft-HTTPAPI/2.0 WAMP Server error

I have been working on php for 2-3 months.. and installed WAMP server on my laptop. Just two days ago I reinstall SQL server 2008 as I had installed express edition before and now converted it to Enterprise edition. But suddenly Apache went down as port 80 was used by Microsoft HTTPAPI/2.0.

I then found SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) was still running after reinstalling SQL Server 2008 as it features a web service even though IIS is not installed.

I couldn't find much information about this from google but at last got way from stopping each service of SQL Server one by one.. and I found SSRS was responsible to stop wamp server.

I hope this article will help people who are facing such issue.
